The winners of the 2010 and 2011 Associated General Contractors of New York State (AGC NYS) Safety Excellence Awards were recently selected by an independent jury comprised of construction industry safety and insurance representatives.  The award program was developed to recognize those contractors that are safety leaders in the construction industry.  In order to be considered for the award, a contractor must meet various, stringent criteria that are analyzed by the jury.  It is a mark of distinction for the few contractors who meet the strict requirements of eligibility.  AGC NYS is aware of how difficult it is to achieve this goal and encourages all contactors to continue their efforts in providing safe places to work for all of their employees and subcontractors.
