| Robert B. Menschel Media Center and Watson Theater Syracuse University General Construction Restoration and upgrades Theater (2,500 SF teaching auditorium), audio and TV studio, community use darkrooms, art gallery, grocery mart Exterior glass block wall system. Many projects bring with them their own set of challenges and potential setbacks that are typical in the world of construction. There are others that present more difficult hurdles that test even seasoned professionals. The Robert B. Menschel Media Center and Watson Theater Complex at Syracuse University was just such a project. Achievements derived from this facility owe a debt to each and every member of the project team. From the design team to the project manager, from the superintendent to the skilled craftsperson, this project is a testament to what can be achieved when everyone works together. Had even one member slacked off the project would have failed. Despite the challenges of unusual working conditions, an uncompromising schedule, restricted work days, tremendous detail work, the eclectic use of the renovated space, and a demanding Owner, the project was completed on time and with premium quality. |
