| Renovation and Reconstruction Construction Manager Gold LEED status pending Sometimes, the old saying “they just don’t build ‘em like they used to” can be a bit of a contradiction! Hueber-Breuer has invested significant time and capital to educate ourselves on LEED applications and the innovations of modern sustainable construction. Perhaps in no way is this commitment to progress more evident than in our efforts to utilize the latest construction methods for wall framing and thermal assemblies. Hueber-Breuer can proudly say that we have constructed the largest modular construction project in Central New York, as well as the largest Structural Insulated Panel (SIPs) project in Central New York. The information below provide a chronology case study of our ongoing Centennial Hall project at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse. This four story building is largely constructed of 184 wood modules and will soon be home to 450 students. A brief list of the sustainable attributes of this construction method is listed below:
In addition to adding this modular project to our portfolio, in August 2010 we also completed The Village at SUNY Oswego. The Village project was largely constructed of Structural Insulated Panels. The SIPs panels boast superior thermal value, providing a significant long term benefit in the way of minimized energy costs; the SIPS construction also provides a great opportunity to minimize winter conditions throughout the completion of the project. With our commitment to these new trends in construction, Hueber-Breuer is pairing the quality you expect with the innovation you deserve! |
