| Community General Hosptial 6th Floor Occupied Renovation Construction Manager The competition today among health care providers is intense. Hospitals are now marketing their facilities, similar to the hotel industry, in terms of private care rooms with special amenities. When an opportunity arose to upgrade a previously mothballed section of their facility, Community General Hospital turned to an old trusted friend to lead their renovation……Hueber-Breuer Construction. As with so many previous projects Hueber-Breuer had completed on campus over the years, this renovation had its own unique challenge. Most of the plumbing work necessary for this 6th floor renovation had to be accomplished from below on the 5th floor……home to some unique patient care areas such as the sleep center and psychiatric ward. Access to these highly controlled areas proved to be the greatest challenge to the project. Careful planning and clever phasing allowed this access to take place without compromising the overall project schedule. The 6th floor is now home to private patient rooms……supported by new state-of-the-art nurse station facilities. Great care was taken to incorporate high-end finishes throughout the space. Community General Hospital has once again succeeded in bringing “all the comforts of home” to the patients they care for. |
