The Renaissance
| The Renaissance Syracuse, New York Renovation Construction Management & General Construction 20 story, 282 room renovation Adjacent parking garage $10.2 M By 2001, the hotel, originally built in 1969 and referred to as the “round hotel” because of its shape, had fallen into disrepair and had become an eyesore on Syracuse’s skyline. Not only were the rooms needed to accommodate visitors to the downtown area and the Syracuse University campus, it was imperative to rid the City of a blight on the neighborhood. Barely a surface was left untouched in order for the hotel to be transformed to what it is today. Hueber-Breuer worked through a particularly harsh winter to complete this project on time for a grand opening. The custom-designed Renaissance has now become a premier destination for out-of-town guests. Some of the features include a 2-story restaurant, grand lobby, fitness center, library lounge, expanded conference center, and 3,500 SF banquet with lovely views from the 20th floor. |
