King + King chose a conglomeration of existing structures in the heart of the Near Westside Initiative as the source for their vision. Hueber-Breuer was brought onboard to develop transformative solutions to a structure that some thought should simply be torn down.

Our participation included extensive estimate updates and value engineering reviews. With a keen focus on sustainability, reuse, and proper material recycling, Hueber-Breuer revitalized what would become the first building in Central New York to achieve LEED Platinum certification. Sustainable building components such as daylight harvesting and super thermal envelope allows King + King Architects to function at a near zero net energy usage. The propertyʼs cutting edge sustainable features also encompass: roofing, heat reduction, ventilation, and flooring.
